The use of the fresh produce relates to The Forage, a new pop-up community food event featuring a selection of Canberra restaurants, cafes, wineries and mobile food vendors, which will make its first appearance at Hustle&Scout.

Food and fashion Hustle & Scout’s crowning glory


The creator of the raspberry-adorned cupcakes on Carryn’s crown, Belinda Neame, will launch The Forage, her new pop-up community food event, bringing together a selection of Canberra’s finest restaurants, cafes, wineries and mobile food vendors. The Forage will be held in NewActon’s Kendall Lane and feature the likes of Chez Frederic, Mr Papa, Sweet Bones Bakery, and Bing Bang.

Foraging for a new idea



At the market, Fashfest will work with The Forage and Haus Models to host a live food-themed photo shoot. The idea was tested with model Ella Mathews who sat patiently through a styling session as Chad Wijayatilake from Haircutters, and Tegan McAuley, founder of Hustle&Scout, delicately wrapped pieces of bright purple cabbage on her head to form an exquisite hat and wrapped a necklace of plump red raspberries around her neck.
